Karissa met Mick through mutual friends in 2004 when she was 19 years old. Before they married in 2008, the surfer proposed to her at one of the most exclusive locations on the Gold Coast, The Villa, in the luxurious Nerang estate.
For eight years, the former swimsuit model turned entrepreneur was married to the millionaire sportsman. The couple got divorced in 2016 however, Fanning stated that he still loves and respects her.
